I've always loved that word, though.  I think most Arabic words are
unusually nice sounding, and if it weren't for the amount of complaining I
got from my roommate (who grew up speaking it, and made it her academic
major in college) I'd study it.  Nice thing about Russian, again, is that
the part everyone thinks will be the hardest (the new alphabet) takes about
a week to master.

Anyhow, how DO you say "Shahrzad"/"Shahrazad"?  Like, legitimately (people
on TV are still saying "Qatar" as "Kutter," "Kuh-tar," "Kwuh-tar," and
"Kotter")?
