ObLang: We are told (with what veracity I do not know) that, for a time,
Russian physicists believed that the world's first operating nuclear
reactor was built in a pumpkin field.  In fact it was built in a concrete
squash (rackets) court in the basement of a building at the University of
Chicago.  "Squash" is of course polysemous!
