Even though ATM does all kinds of incredible things
to insinuate itself in your machine, it seems to be a safer option.
Of course, any X server supports Type1 directly.

I'd be interested in that code: I'm currently working on a page
about the Denden chancery script, and I thought I'd take the GIF
route too, but I'm a bit afraid of all the work.
