"To knock a Quidditch player off their broom" ? :-)
Speaking of "broom", there was a thread on that a while back: the
distinction between "broom" and "brush" in English vs. other languages
that use the same word for both. This came up as I was in the process of
developing vocabulary for Lindiga; the Lindiga word for brush/broom is
"vlira". Along with the rest of the Lindiga vocabulary, this word has
been borrowed into Minza (and is one of the few words that remains more
or less unchanged: spelled "vlira" and pronounced ['vlira]).
