    I believe that the quote was from "Aquila and the Sphinx," which I first
read when I was 13 or 14, I think.  By that point, I had already read the
first two books in the trilogy - they warped my young mind!  About a year
ago or so I returned home and re-read many of his books - I was surprised to
see how much they had influenced me at that time (and continue to influence
me).
    Most recently, I've read his semi-autobiographical "Jasmine Nights,"
which I really enjoyed.
