I'm still unclear as to why 'engineer' gets contracted to 'enge', rather
than 'engi', which is not ambiguous nor does it pull a vowel glyph out of
nowhere.
Though I really don't ever like silent vowel glyphs; 'enlang' is my favorite
variant here.
