I don't know much Latin, but I have studied a lot of Spanish and have
kind of absorbed knowledge of Latin just from a Latin dictionary and
etymologies... I also have a friend who majored in classics to help me
out. I have found quite a few books around that tell about the
development of Romance languages such as French and Spanish from Latin
also.
