I've known people to use the word "gay" as a sort of "filler adjective"
for exclamations...not really meaning anything besides a slight
background connotation of "weird/different", but just something to put in
there to make a sentence. In my brother's class they do that a
lot...gay, gimp, goat...i guess they like the sound [g].
