Rick, I often feel exactly the same as you describe below.Recently I came back
to Conlang (and Auxlang as well) and am just about exhausted by the effort to
getany useful communication. Much is probably my fault, for I remain strugling
witha project too ambitious for easy description -- Acadon. You may recall our
past discussions of it.Very best regards, LEO Leo J. MoserSent

whateverI think I empathize. My efforts to communicate with others about my
conlangs (or about their conlangs) often seem unsatisfying to me. I'm leaning
toward a theory that conlanging, like writing a personal journal or painting a
painting, is such an individualistic activity that communicating with others
while the process is ongoing is very risky and can sometimes
spoil the fun.Excessive communication with the outside world can be just plain
distracting, too. Artists and writers have long known the value of "going on a
retreat" or simply disabling all the communications devices in the house for a
day or two. I do those things occasionally. Very refreshing.
