In Swedish we have distinction between the continents (Eurasia, Africa,
North and South America, Antarctica and Australia) and the "world parts"
(Europe, Asia, Africa, Antarctica, Oceania and EITHER America OR North and
South America). The word "kontinent" (as we spell it) is thus given a
cheifly geological meaning = "major landmass" while the "world parts" are
more traditional geographical regions.
