Hey, I actually *didn't* know that!!! Great! I actually like the fact that
I reinvented a feature happeing in Gaelic! :))

The funny part is that it is opposite in Maggel. For many numerals, the
main difference between the declarative and combined forms is that the
declarative form *doesn't* have the article, while the combined form has it
:)) .
examples: (declarative form first, followed by combined form,
pronunciations in CXS)
gho ['ho:] "the number one", a ghho [@'Co:] "one"
snah ['znaI] "the number two", a hznao [@'4na:] "two"
tehg ['TEM\] "the number three", a htehg [@'CEM\] "three"
ideeir ['t9x], a ihdeeir [@'x9x]
fomd ['fO~], a hfomd [@'wO~]
gsie ['ksi], a ghsie [@'4i:]
saib ['s&p], a saihb [@'s&T]
jbone ['SoUn], a hjbone [@'GboUn]
tiuotajm ['TyT@~N], a tiuohtajm [@'TyC@~N]
ignuil [kNur], a nuig [@'nuk]
I stop here because my fingers begin to hurt, but don't guess that Maggel
is base-10 :) . It's base-20, with substractive counting (sometimes
mandatory, sometimes optional) for one, two or three under a score :) .

You need a straight mind to invent a twisted conlang.
