Hmm, the grammar of the above quote is a bit weird. For one, Italian
doesn't like prepositions at the end of sentences, so the first
sentence would be something like "dunque per cosa è la vita?".

"Per cosa è la vita? La vita è per la bellezza, e sostanza, e suono,
e colore; e anche quelli sono spesso proibiti da legge [convenzioni
socioculturali]. Perchè non siete liberi, e vivete le vostre proprie
vite? Perchè seguite le regole altrui vivendo per piacere ad altri?"

I'm not a native speaker, but this is my attempt at fixing up the
above translation.

And also... The "gejutsu" in the below sentence doesn't really mean
anything, I think; for art, I think you can use "geijutsu" (&#33464;&#34899;
ShiftJIS) or "gijutsu" (&#25216;&#34899;). Similarly, in the Italian translation,
the word order is a bit strange. Again offering my
suggestion, "vivere vita come arte".
