Piermaria is right. On the other hand, I could refer all conlang.org mail to some other server without its passing through my machine. However, it must still go to some main server before it can be sent on to many individual mailboxes at different places. Of course I can do anything I want to subdomains, so that I could, for example, make all mail to lojban.conlang.org go to ccil.org. That's one reason that even people without a webserver might want to claim a conlang.org domain name. However, even this kind of delivery address can cause problems if the target server does not know that it has another legal name. Otherwise, ccil.org is likely to complain that it knows nothing about lojban.conlang.org and bounce the mail. -- David _________________________________________ David Durand dgd@cs.bu.edu \ david@dynamicDiagrams.com http://www.cs.bu.edu/students/grads/dgd/ \ Director of Development Graduate Student no more! \ Dynamic Diagrams --------------------------------------------\ http://www.dynamicDiagrams.com/ MAPA: mapping for the WWW \__________________________
