Spanish has "El libro mío" as an emphatic version of "Mi libro", and
I've seen an Old Spanish text that had forms like "El mi libro" (as well
as forms like "Tod el pueblo", making me wonder if OS dropped -o for a
lot of preposed adjectives, like it does today with only a few like
"bueno")
