About these workshops: What is the range of feeling in the group regarding
making a Conlang-OT group, either at Brown (if that's possible), or Yahoo?
I think that having a second, and (this is key) non-quota group would let
those who love to talk non-shop do so without endangering the sanity of
those of us who are here for the conlanging, or at least linguistics, and
not the fisticuffs and meanderings. In a polite society, all that would be
needed would be someone asking "Hey, guys, take it to the OT group, would
ya?", or words to that effect, and we could all continue our lives,
distractions optional.
