Interesting. My brother and I like to use "commie" as a joking term for
anything not American, as in "those Commie Canucks" :-) My brother just
loves to use "(tree-huggin') hippie crap" as a jocular insult, for
anything, especially in the phrase "It's all a bunch of tree-huggin'
hippie crap" (yes, he did take that from Cartman on South Park)
