ISTR Christophe being adamant in the past that there is a nasalization
difference between [On] and [O~]. (Tho I think at one point it was
conceded that [On] may have a very lightly nasalized [O], but certainly
not _as_ nasalized as the [O~]).
I've also read somewhere, perhaps on this list or perhaps off, that Dutch
also keeps nasals from nasalizing preceding vowels.
