Re: More Gothic text

Now that one's more or less incomprehensible. Of course the number of boxes and
pseudo-Chinese characters make it rather more difficult even when I know that a
question mark is a thorn. But still as familiar as I am with Scripture a few
dozen garbled characters shouldn't make that much difference. It's the Germanic
effect. Any time I get one of those instruction books that's printed in several
languages, if there's no English or the English has been hopelessly garbled I
look first for Spanish or another logically-spelled Romance lang, second for
French, third for Chinese. German is my last resort for figuring out what's
what.

PS what was the text?

To say that Bilbo's breath was taken away is no description at all. There
are no words left to express his staggerment, since Men changed the language
that they learned of elves in the days when all the world was wonderful.
