Well, here's my favorite bit of Gothic, from L. Sprague deCamp's seminal
time travel/alternate universe novel _Lest Darkness Fall_. It's hopelessly
garbled in the printed version, and I had to reconstruct the underlying form
with the help of a Gothic dictionary, years ago:
Ho, frijond, habeis faurhtei! Allai skattjans sind waidedjans.
The second word is in the nominative rather than the vocative case, but I
have left this alone; de Camp documented this as an error on his part
rather than the publisher's part.
