I can't agree with you more.
Interesting to bring up bases. I don't have my own conlang as yet, but I'm
thinking about it, and one of my ideas is to have a number system that can
support all bases, with some kind of indicator if anything other than the
usual ten is used. Do you know of any language (nat- or con-), with that
function?
This summer I taught myself the old Babylonian writing system, which is
based on a base 60, but is very easy to learn because of the repetitiveness
of its characters.
