Yes. Although most will have learned RP, so unless they find it
explicitly cool to use 'American' pronunciation, the above would be:
[ka:nt], [kEnt], [kant]. With <man> vs. <men> Germans get the
uncertain feeling that there must be some difference between those
ä sounds. :-P
