Re: Looking for a case: counting

I've decided to go with the instrumental case for
the counting sense in Okaikiar. In fact, I'm considering resurrecting
the spatial/temporal mode distinction since this adds to the set of
cases where it makes sense.
In any case, "I threw the ball for the dog many times in the park
yesterday" becomes this in Okaikiar:
ball(acc) the dog(dat) the time/occasion(ins,pl) be-many(att,past)
park(loc) the day(loc) be-previous(att,pres) throw(1s ind,past).
Of course, Okaikiar is an a priori language; in my as-yet-unnamed I-E
derivative I may go with the genitive.
Thanks for the feedback.
