A mixture of potato and boiled cabbage, made into cakes and then fried. I generally add an egg to bind it together. It's actually surprisingly nice. It's not usually something you set out to make, you just make it when there's some left over potatoes and cabbage sitting in the fridge. ObConlang: The Elet Anta for "potato" and "cabbage" are both loanwords: motato, cal. And "bubble and squeak" would be "curup tal yichsu", though I don't know if it means the same. -- John Fisher john@drummond.demon.co.uk johnf@epcc.ed.ac.uk Elet Anta website: http://www.drummond.demon.co.uk/anta/ Drummond ro cleshfan merec; fanye litoc, inye litoc
