I think we can rescue Keith's spanner. I seem to recall reading that
Romance languages that did not evolve accusative markers (i.e., [a] in
Spanish) had nominative and oblique cases. If this is true then first
generation Brithenig _must_ have had a two case declension system.
Once again I find waiting on Ray productive! :)
