How about "law" [Q]???? vs. "father?/dance, grass" [A]??? vs. "pot" [O]??
Or would law and pot differ only as to long/short [O]?? (I'm fairly sure
that they're Q:O in Proper Bostonian)...And RP "father" may have [a]; but I
think dance and grass do have [A]...
Impressionistic...not really up on my RP, which I gather is not as R as it
used to be.
