Indeed. I only like dark beers (my very first beer was a Guiness, drunk in a true Irish pub - I was in Galway :) -. That probably set my taste ;)) ), and they are a pain to find on the continent. Even import Guiness doesn't really taste like the real stuff :(( .

Especially in the Netherlands, where my experience says that beer is there even bubblier than in France (my friend agrees: he finds beers in France too flat for his taste).

They are difficult to find outside specialised places (There are Irish pubs around here, so it's not impossible. Just difficult).
