There's also that issue of scripts that write vertically. Central Asian type scripts (Mongolian, Kalmyk, Buryat, Manchurian, etc.) could be especially difficult, would they not? Not only do they write things vertically, all the glyphs connect like in Arabic so you'd need glyphs with initial, medial, final, and isolated forms. -kristian- 8)
