I hope you don't get offended by what I have to say. The OT threads are insightful to the people on the list. This list is not just a catalogue of conlang information, it's also about the people. The group cannot, and should not have to tailor their discussions to meet that of the one who believes that some OT threads are irrelevant. It's a social thing, and people being social animals will want to get to know one another, or chat with others. It's human nature... i don't know of any informal group where things are 100% on topic ALL of the time. Here's what I do, i set my email client to filter all Conlang messages into a folder. I know many can, and would suggest downloading one yourself. This way i can group threads according to subject and mass delete the ones that don't interest me (lately it's been most, as i've just been in the "blahs"). If this list is "too off topic" for you, i'd suggest either unsubscribing, or find a way to make it easier to filter out the off topic posts.

If it's just been "these last days", then the list is not fully off topic. We have our moments, and all lists have periods of being off topic, or simple silence. I don't look at all threads, so i can't say, but did you perhaps think of asking conlang related questions yourself?
