Well, I seem to be fairly good at languages (but, there arre sticky points
I forget). I think that practice, practice, practice is important. For
Spanish, I frequently try to use it in chatrooms, or I listen to music in
Spanish (hearing it helps to keep the language fresh in my mind). I'm a
little wary of using it in places like restaurants though. Repetition is
important when learning languages. I learned from going from high school
to college that if I dont use it, then I lose it.
I haven't attempted to memoriz my conlangs lexicon. I'm still building
both, and one (Tilion Nevo) is getting re-built. I do remember some bits
of Saalangal, like how adjectives are constructed, the linker, the
pronouns, and small things like that, but I couldn't speak it without
looking to my dictionary.
