RM A brilliant idea and yet another ex. that great minds think alike :-)).
Kash has a similar article, also _e_, used to specify general/abstract
concepts, also to personify--
malisam e rinda 'I like Music' versus--
malisam rinda riyanju re manahan 'I like music while I'm eating'
malisam rinda yu ~ malisam rindani 'I like the music (that I'm hearing now)'
also: e kundri 'The Truth' (will make you free)
e yangandra i e lero 'The Northwind and The Sun'
OTOH I think foodstuffs would be referenced without the article-- malisam
poren 'I like wine (in general)', could also mean 'I like (some) wine (with my
dinner). There's no partitive; tapat 'some, any' is contrastive-- malisam tapat
poreneç 'I like _some_ wines (but not others)'. And a request for wine would
probably use the future tense-- malisando poren 'I'd like some wine'
