\~W looks OK in LaTeX. The letter is a bit wide for the tilde, but then you
can use the mathematical wide tilde by $\widetilde{\mathrm{W}}$. But that's
a bit overkill :))) (you can do the same with the small w if you find the
tilde too small even in this case. \widetilde{} adapts to the width of the
character under it).
