Tangentially, I'm not sure if I agree with this. Not that I
qualify as conlanger, but anyway I do it mostly because there's a big
rational effort in making all the pieces of the language mix in a logic
manner :-) So, for me at least, there's a part of pure artistical
impetus (the sound and "look" of the language), and then a very
entertaining (and sometimes mind-boggling :-)) part of almost
mathemathic (sp?) precision (the grammar itself).
Though, thinking more about it ... I suppose it's very similar
to any art :-m There are both a rational part and an inspirational part
involved. So maybe I have to agree with you, after all this r:-)
