dolie bastyin so zylsin brynie do chanie jom reshenin talayna dolie city-loc-s bastyin so zylsin drum-nom-p and flute-nom-p brynie do mountain-loc-s however chanie jom reshenin ta.layna only there tree-gen-p DIM.speak-INF I had to make "flute" and it brought, as usual, a number of other words - from the stem _zyl_ "wind music, piping sound". Yes, it's onomatopoeic. All the other words I already had; I used "trees" for "pines" out of laziness :-) The construction of the last two verses is kind of new; I didn't know that _jom_ would be needed but it put itself there and stubbornly refused to budge, and I didn't realize that the infinitive could stand as a verbal noun ("the whispering of the trees"). Valdyan doesn't really have participles except in very stilted obsolete language, and I wanted this to be poetic rather than formal).
