The approaches I have been taking are:
Thagojian: derived from PIE on an as-needed basis. Lexical items have been
derived "by eye" after picking out a suitable PIE root, and grammatical
stuff has been created more or less the same way, but with much greater
semantic latitude.
Jiggoghiid: lexicon and grammatical particles pulled out of thin air
during the process of translations.
Br'ga: almost no word content. I'll make whatever whenever something
strikes me.
Tsa'ilh Ka: I'm designing the grammatical particle system first, and
assigning words to each particle. That way I can build sentences and slot
verbs and nouns into them as needed instead of building the whole shebang
from the ground up.
