The N being...?

I don't know. It's been a while since I was there, and really don't recall if the original sign had the word broken (like to fit in a square or similar) or if I just copied it funny. Well, I must thank you for your help! I've had that paper since 1994 (when I was in Spain) and hadn't been able to find anyone who could translate that name. Al Jezirat makes the most sense, as Algeciras is just a little way down the highway from San Roque, where I copied the sign. I can't recall if there was a sign there or not that said "Algeciras" in Spanish; and it does wonder me that there was a highway sign in Arabic at all. I know the Moors were making a comeback in southern Spain, but I didn't think it was enough to warrant Arabic signage.
