Dad's middle name is Arne, mine was Anthony (now Anton), my sister's was Anitra (now Duck); so when a brother came along he got Alan. Who remembers a couple of children's books, <The Great Brain> and <Me and my Little Brain> by John D. Fitzgerald? Every male in the narrator's family has the same middle name David, to remind them NOT to repeat some shameful act of an ancestor or great-uncle of that name. The narrator is called J.D., so I wonder how much truth there is in it. -- Anton Sherwood -- http://www.ogre.nu/
