My full English name is Robert James Hailman. Robert because my parents
like it, James after my great-grandfather (mother's father's father, for
those ambiguity-hating types out there) who died shortly before I was
born.
My Hebrew name is Chanoch or something like that (/xanox/), after
another great-grandfather. (father's father's father) The English form
of Chanoch is Enoch, (/inVk/ or something like that) which I
occasionally include in my English name, especially when using initials:
R. J. E. Hailman.
