well i like this idea... especially since i haven't had much time
lately to work on narethanaal and perhaps need a little poking and
nudging to get started again...

well i already have a word for tree: 'kwisif' but i don't know if i'm
going to bother with distinctions between different varieties of
tree... and if i did i would want to use my own
as-of-yet-undetermined classification system rather than the one
that's already in place...

>    2. werewolf / lycanthrope of some variety
the word for 'to shape-shift/change form' is 'naia' so a singular
werewolf would be 'naiaan'... however it should be noted that this
particular term could refer to any shape changer... not just from
animal to human or vice versa and so could be applied to Odo, the
Founders etc.... but seeing as though the word for 'to howl' as in a
wolf (as opposed to the wind: 'uurulu' or something else that howls:
'velakse') is 'ruluuauau' by extension 'ruruluuauau tanaden' would
mean 'with howling wolfness' so in order to say someone's a werewolf
you'd have to say 'ruruluuauau tanaden naiaan'... hmmm... maybe i
should try to simplify that...

>    3. to save (money)
to possess miserlyness (bad connotations greediness etc.)- thare
[whoever's doing the saving] pepekant

to possess thriftyness (good or maybe just better connotations)-
thare [whoever's doing the saving] sialsip

>    4. to conquer
this will actually be useful for the good vs. evil story i intend to
translate (eventually... someday... maybe...)

if anyone expresses interest in the x-sampa i'll post it but
otherwise i'm not going to bother trying to figure it all out :p...
