I bought three grammars of Australian and Papuan languages at Grant and
Cutler in London recently. They're of variable
quality... the Wankumara grammar is little more than the extreme basics,
the Warndarang grammar is a bit more substantial, and the Imonda grammar
is about twice as thick as the other two and a lot more comprehensive.
All three are in the "Pacific Linguistics" series which seems to be
associated with "The Australian National University"... I was thinking
of trying to track down more books in the same series.
