(This assumes, of course, that taking care of someone in this context means to
help him or her. Near as this non-native can tell, Elliott's English
translation could also be interpreted rather more ominously.)

(Guess I ought to come up with something shorter for "lost" in this sense.
Perhaps idhékedh, lit "ungoing", could be a suitable idiom?)

(FYI, in informal speech, that _ta ai esh_ would come out like something like
[ta:jS].)
