I remember that Egyptian scribes writing in Hieratic or Demotic (on papyrus)
used black for normal text and red for proper names. A kind of capitalisation
done by colour :))) . I remember using this idea in one of my early conlangs
(written with a script that had the ambition of Hangul, but fell short by my
lack of linguistic knowledge at that time). A funny thing I remember about it
was its transliteration, using only capital letters, with an opposition between
typewriter capitals and cursive capitals (I think it marked a long vs. short
opposition). Those were the days... :)))
Take your life as a movie: do not let anybody else play the leading role.
