What else is it then? I'm curious to know how a
set of christian scriptures, written by
christians in communion with other christians
could by something other than christian works!
If you mean _in general_, then I'd agree; and
that's not what we're talking about. This is a
very specific use of "religion of light". The
fact remains that in the Chinese texts,
christianity was referred to as the Illuminating
Religion (the Rel. of Light) of the Great Western
Empire.
