Amusingly difficult in Kash, who find Terran religious concepts rather
incomprehensible in any case.
Most literal: kandritan Yehova [kan'dritan je'xova]-- but kandritan best
refers to witnesses in the legal sense...(derived from a base meaning 'to be
present')
kandikas Yehova-- even worse: kandikas can mean 'witness (e.g. an event)',
but more often 'spectator' (lit. 'one who sees)
kandusok Yehova -- follower of..., (fig.) adherent of... a little better I
guess. (< 'follow')
(For plural, add -ila to the kan- forms)
But none of these captures the religio-philosophical concept "to witness (to
s.t.)" Perhaps we need such a word.
The Gwr will probably have a word, since some of them practice
salvationist/redemptionist religions, but we're not there yet.
