True, but it's honest. Ignoring sound and friendly advice is *in my personal humble opinion* worse than calling this advice "shit". Ordering him off the

True, but it's honest. I prefer honesty above any other thing, whatever that means. I prefer myself to be insulted rather than simply ignored, because to insults I can reply, not to people ignoring me. "I am gone" can mean a number of things. "I have made

Which is by itself unacceptable.

Now Sally, you are just being rude! Check my sentence, and see the "according to me" part. I was stating quite clearly a personal opinion, and NOBODY is allowed to prevent me from having a personal opinion and stating it as it is. As I explained, in my personal humble opinion, ignoring people is still worse than insulting them, whatever the insult (of course, ignoring an insult is something else :)) , but Andrew ignored many more things than insults). You may disagree with me (you obviously do), and that's fine by me. Everybody is entitled to an own opinion (even Andrew. What I found irritating was not his opinion on languages, but the way he was trying to make it look like it was a universal truth). And I agree that some reactions were unacceptably strong, but I still think they are not as bad as Andrew's behaviour during this whole thing. It's a personal opinion, and I admit it's only that. But it's MINE, and nobody can say "NOT!" to it. I'm entitled as much as anyone to have my personal opinion and state it as such. You can say that you disagree, but you cannot shout that I'm not allowed to have that opinion. You're basically acting against my freedom of thought and speech. Sorry for reacting so strongly, but I won't allow anyone, even a person I otherwise admire very much, to say that I'm not allowed to have an opinion on things. I've been prevented to have one for long enough in my youth... Given his goals and his mind-set, can you blame him? Yes I can, because he wasn't even up to his own goals. Before trying to impose your mind-set on other people, you should check that you follow your own advice first (note that I don't exclude myself of it, but my statements are always reflections of my opinion, and I don't try to pretend they're anything else). Is it that
> surprising? >
No, but that doesn't mean it's acceptable. I am readier to forgive Padraic and Christopher's bursts of anger, because they were at least honest, if ill-placed and ill-conceived (hey, we're all human). But I didn't see the shadow of an honest thought in Andrew's posts. It may be a wrong impression, but I cannot help having it, and I read all his posts. I only saw contempt and arrogance, from the first post on (the answer to Joseph, who was truly interested in Ygyde, were the last straw, and didn't help changing my opinion, on the contrary). I admit it's my impression only, and other people may have seen it otherwise. But you can't prevent me from basing my opinions on what I see and how I see it. Now I see very well that you have a different opinion on this matter, and I respect it. I just hope you'll respect mine as well.
