Hiya "peeps" (ya peep, I peep, we all peep into lighted boxes),
hiya 'peeps,' I am back...& better than ever...
I - Czhang - is back on this list after havin' some serious life changes
(suffice to say that I am still alive-&-semi-well and that I have 5 months
Clean-&-Sober ::grateful-but-still-mischievious grin :}
CONLANG:
I have scrapped Viivo!, bein' highly disenchanted with my lack of
linguistic resources & overwhelmed by overly ambitious ideas.
So, I am backtrackin' and doin' a similar-but-simpler "Futurist(ic)"
conlang tentatively called _Mez_ (derived from the Italian word for "mix" &
"mixture" _mescolanza_ AND the English word _mess_, hehe...). So far, Mez is
a conlang with "restructured Italo-polyglot" lexification &
pidgin/creole-like grammar (perhaps modeled after American Sign Language
[ASL] or some similar variant of Topic-Comment).
TRANSLATION EXERCISES:
1> Translate the Serenity Prayer into your conlang(s) (native idiomatic
forms and/or personal re-interpretation highly encouraged!):
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
2> Translate the following quote using native idiomatic form(s):
Religion is for those who are afraid of Hell;
spirituality is for those who have been to Hell and back.
okay, tha's all fer now, folks..
take care, peeps.
