There just dropped in a reply on the original list regarding the above sentence. Translated into English it goes: "Have spoken to an expert here in the corridor, a japanese girl. After a lot of trouble interpreting the text, she says hesitantly: 'He's really cool.'" So _aitsu_ is obviously correct.
