'Tit' is a mispronuskiation of 'teat', isn't it?

Depending on what part of Texas you're in, you might also hear other
dyslalias like 'bidness' and 'extry'. The infamous 'howdy' itself is a
contraction of 'how do you do'. Texanish is all about contractions. Big
state, small utterances.
But I pronounce it 'nucular' because Homer Simpson does. And he's an expert
on nucular physics.

My wife (who grew up in Boston among other places) used to say [Ar 'k&n z@s]
with the stress on the second syllable and it drove me NUTS. Glad she never
went to Illinois and publicly pronounced the name of the state with the -s
on the end -- allegedly, it's a crime there.

"Hey German boy, go back to Germania!" -- Nelson Muntz (to Uter, the
exchange student)
And thanks for that info on the Tamil book. I'll have to see if the UT
library has it.
