Usually the aspect marker/clausal modifier wá suffices to negate a sentence.
> 1. bathe

wá temeñ anpúra jatalónte;
NEG SE+past+3ps-reflexive cleanliness yesterday
'He didn't wash himself yesterday.'
> 2. narrow

wá pa jatóna Tó anciéña nápie;
NEG PA road this narrowness too-much
'This road isn't too narrow.'
> 3. jealous

wá pa lién anrapíññe lá;
NEG PA 1ps jealousy EXCL
'I am not jealous!'

ho análneha tele jaséta to jacíla lá;
INSTR good-fortune SE+past+1ps-goal bite SRC bee-analog EXCL
'Luckily, the bee didn't sting me.'

Has to be completed in Kélen:
Who wouldn't say that?
wá hiemma jáo ke ma-kéñ;
NEG SE+possible+3ps-source that SRC who-?
'Who wouldn't say that?'
> 6. grief
> She couldn't come to grips with her grief.
wá temeñ anTírne jé anlórála'mma cé;
NEG SE+past+3ps-refl peace-of-mind in-exchange-for grief+3ps-assoc. COMM
'She couldn't exchange peace for her grief.'
[ wá without the commissive mood marker cé would yield 'She didn't...' The
commissive adds the idea that she wanted to & didn't/couldn't. The commissive
is a statement of intent, and thus works as a mild imperative in some cases.]

é céja serle anráNNen wá hí ñarra jacéha;
& can/could SE+2ps-source+1ps-goal annoyance NEG &-if NI+2ps-agent attempt
'You can't annoy me if you try.'
[ While wá usually precedes the relational (SE, NI, etc), here its spot is
taken by céja, and so it moves to the end of the clause.]

How about Don't do that!
ñarra jáo wé;
NI+2ps-agent that PROH
'Don't do/make that.'
[ wé is the prohibitive mood marker.]

These are identical in Kélen:
sáen is the freestanding form, ma is the reduced form,
-ma. -amma, -emme, are all inflections on se or ñi
-mma is the associative/possessive form.
There are several examples above.
> 2. poor
poor in quality - anwíla
poor in money/worth - ancáliwe
pa jacéla anwíla tó-jáo pa ancáliwe;
PA bowl poor-quality therefore PA (it) poor-value.
'The bowl is of poor quality and is therefore of little value.'

matélena - wise, well-educated person
masónena - wise, clever person
That's as far as I got.
Maybe I can do more later.
