You know, you're the second person to advise me Thunderbird (a mail client
which actually didn't exist yet when I first looked for mail clients and
eventually chose Eudora ;)) ). I had tried another Unicode-aware client
which was supposed to handle IMAP correctly (Pegasus Mail IIRC), but it
crashed on me and took some mails with it (from an IMAP folder!!) so I
quickly got rid of it :))) .
Right now, the only things that bother me with Thunderbird is:
- it doesn't have an official installer, and from what I've seen it's quite
a mess to upgrade (wouldn't be a problem if it was a stable version, but
from what I've seen it keeps uppgrading quickly). I use quite extensive
lists of filters and I wouldn't like having to type them again (then again,
if I just could import my filter list from Eudora, that would be OK :)) ).
- I just *hate* the three-window model that it uses (just like OE :(( ). It
may be just a problem of eye-candy, but I just find the way Eudora handles
window space much more practical.
All in all, I'm thinking of waiting for Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 before
changing mail client. Or maybe using Opera M2 if I can get it to work this
time (although I don't care for its looks either...).

And it's not as if they held such a good position that they can afford to
do that. What in the world are they thinking? I use Eudora only because I
don't have to pay for it. I would never even consider paying for it.
