Jarrda has more than one equivalent for all three words "love", "is", and
"law". I assume you don't mean "Romantic attraction is the same thing as a
threat of retaliation", but something more like "Affection has the quality
of being a standard".
In which case, it becomes
te tos- ma jag
is love-ERG rule-ABS
Jarrda "te" is a *transitive* verb meaning "has the quality of being". It's
more like the "tener" in "tener razón" than a copula. Quite a useful little
word.
